CREATIVE COWORKING SPACE IN A FORMER SHOE FACTORY
Bernies.Space is named after its address on Bernhard Bangs Allé. As for the colours, the obvious choice would have been yellow like the building and green for the many plants and the big garden. But obvious didn’t win the race 🐖💙 We had fun creating an identity inspired by the functional space with its high ceilings, exposed pipes and industrial windows. The logo is composed of 3 geometric blocks reminiscent of the different, individually designed workspaces at Bernies. www.bernies.space @bernies.space
Our building on Bernhard Bangs Allé was built back in 1938 as a factory for the famous Danish shoe brand Alsboe & Wedéla - in typical 1930’s functionalism style with high ceilings, exposed pipes and large industrial windows.
Today it houses various small businesses from artists to food photographers, and karate clubs to producers union.
What makes us like this place so much? Well, first off this functional architecture, the huge windows, the unusual yellow colour and the quirky remnants of the building’s past telling a story of productions, deliveries and countless people coming and going daily.
